Developing Young Athletes Network Podcast

Oct 28, 2019

I am excited to bring you today’s guest because he has seen the game of football on both sides- as a player and as a coach. Growing up on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii, our guest was a four-year high school scholar-athlete in basketball and football. After high school, he traveled across the ocean to play collegiate football at the University of La Verne in La Verne, California. During his collegiate years, he was a four-year starter on both the offensive and defensive lines.

After completing his undergraduate degree, he obtained his Master’s degree in Leadership and Management. He transitioned from playing football to coaching- as a high school football coach in Claremont, California, and then returned to his alma mater in Kamehameha Maui. For nearly seven years, he has been coaching, teaching, and developing youth athletes. He serves as a team member for takeaknee.com-an organization based on developing youth football coaches and programs. He also serves as the training coordinator and adventure guide for Skyline Hawaii.
